Trayvon Martin Case:  Do the right thing! We're watching you!

Ron Zimmerman’s attorneys and supporters would like for us to believe that America is a Post Racial society.  This is merely a part of the big fat ugly lie they constantly feed us, as they arrogantly say to us:

           "...Don’t believe your own lying eyes and ears.”

They must think the entire world is blind, deaf, ignorant, and totally crazy!

They have forgotten that the entire world witnessed news coverage of Ron Zimmerman...

      ·        racially profiling Trayvon Martin;

·        Being instructed by legal authorities not to follow Martin and disobeying them;

·        Then, of Martin talking on the telephone to his friend and describing every step of the incidents leading up to his murder;

·        We heard what Martin’s mother said, was Martin’s voice, pleading for his life:  “Help?  Somebody, help me!  This fact was verified by professionals.

·        We witnessed the news coverage of the immediate aftermath of the awful murder where we saw close-up views of the back of Zimmerman’s head (no scars, no blood); of Zimmerman’s face (no blood, no swelling, no black or bruised eyes or lips); of Zimmerman’s gait as he walked (no limp, no struggle with movement...only a strong, robust, agile gait)

We saw and heard it all!  The world watched in total awe as this seemingly open-and-shut-case  unfolded—that is, if the victim and shooter had been of different races.

In view if the above indisputable and publically witnessed facts, the entire world was in utter disbelief...

·        That Zimmerman was not arrested the night of the shooting;

·        That Martin’s body was whisked off to an unknown location, leaving his devastated and dreadfully distressed  parents totally unaware of the location of his body for THREE (3) indescribably terrifying days;

·        That Martin—not Zimmerman, the shooter—was drug-tested;

·        That no mention was made of the condition of Martin’s body until now—more than two months after the shooting;

     ·        That the Police report gave none of the recently disclosed details about      Zimmerman’s supposedly extensive injuries—a broken nose, black eyes, swollen lips, cuts on the back of his head;

·        That the Police Report never mentioned a suggestion that Zimmerman go to the hospital;

·        That Zimmerman himself did not request that he be taken to the hospital;

·        That the police report did not mention the tears and mental anguish that recent reports describe—so what, anyway?;

·        That the Police Report did not mention Zimmerman’s need for psychiatric counseling.

But now that the high-profile essence of this case has diminished, most people have forgotten about the actual details and focused on the next racist American tragedy.  People now assume that the legal system will do what it pleases—which is generally to obscure and conceal the truth; then, politically manipulate the case to their advantage.  Remember, POLITICS is usually another word for SYSTEMIC RACISM.

After all, America is still heavily embroiled in an over-600-year project of systemic racism.  Conservative Americans have chosen to stick their heads in the sand and pretend that institutionalized racism does not exist--that  racism is merely a figment of black people’s  and liberal whites’ imaginations.  Until recently, the Bush and Reagan administrations deemed that we not even discuss these matters.  In fact, they actually rolled back a vast portion of the gains of the Civil Rights Movement...charging that these programs DISCRIMINATED AGAINST WHITES.  Imagine that!  ...But, that’s a matter for another blog post!

For now, regarding the Trayvon Martin case, racist Americans are saying to people who have the audacity to seek truth, liberty and justice for all:

"Don’t believe your own lying eyes and ears; Instead, believe what the just-us system has conjured up!"

...Not this time!  We're watching every step this racist society takes!
